<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control speed of a driver's own vehicle without giving a sense of discomfort to a driver. <P>SOLUTION: A drive control device provided with a vehicle speed controlling means 15d which controls the speed of the driver's own vehicle to make a distance between the own vehicle and a preceding vehicle a target distance if the preceding vehicle detected by front vehicle detecting means 11, 12 which detect a vehicle in front of the own vehicle runs in the same driving lane as the own vehicle is provided with: a two-wheeler detecting means 15a which determines whether or not the front vehicle is a two-wheeler that runs in an adjacent lane adjacent to the driving lane; a tilt detecting means 12 which detects the tilt of the two-wheeler if the front vehicle is determined to be the two-wheeler; and a cut-in determining means 15c which determines whether or not the two-wheeler cuts into the driving lane by comparing the tilt of the two-wheeler and a prescribed threshold. The vehicle speed controlling means 15d, when it is determined that the two-wheeler cuts into the driving lane, controls the speed of the own vehicle so that the distance between the own vehicle and the two-wheeler comes close to the target distance before the two-wheeler cuts into the driving lane. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
