The device has a retaining container for retaining a reducing agent and connected with a metering element i.e. nozzle, through a reduction duct element (10) for supplying the reducing agent to the metering element. A cooling conduit element (20) supplies coolant to an aggregate of the vehicle, and thermally coupled with the reduction duct element for heating the reducing agent in the reduction duct element. Another reduction duct element (12) supplies the reducing agent into the retaining container through the metering element and is thermally coupled with the cooling conduit element.
