The apparatus (1) has a test medium circulation circuit (2) for circulating test medium, and a conveying device (7) i.e. oil pump, arranged in the medium circulation circuit for driving the test medium. A test chamber (3) is arranged in the medium circulation circuit for receiving a test object (4), and operationally flows through or passes through the test medium. A pressurization device (6) i.e. pulse generator, is arranged in the medium circulation circuit for pressurization of the test medium. A temperature control device (9) i.e. heating device, adjusts temperature of the test medium. The test medium is selected from oil, petrol, diesel, fuel, bio-diesel, gas or water. An independent claim is also included a method for simulating chemically, thermally and mechanically induced ageing processes in a test object by utilizing a testing apparatus.
