Disclosed in the present invention is a method for triggering a terminal in a specific location, which comprises that: a network side transmits a location specific trigger message to the terminal by broadcasting a message or Non Access Stratum (NAS) signal; after receiving the location specific trigger message, the terminal establishes a connection with the network side if the terminal determines that a location specific trigger feature is subscribed by itself. The present invention also discloses a system for triggering a terminal in a specific location. With the present invention, it can be realized that a network can trigger a terminal based on the location information provided by the application of Internet of Things.
