FUEL CELL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system which can suppress deterioration in NV performance even when the fuel cell system in the middle of performing idle stop control for extracting low current from a fuel cell while supplying oxidant gas at a low flow rate is under low-pressure environment; and a method for controlling the same.

SOLUTION: A fuel cell system comprises low pressure environment determination means which determines whether the fuel cell system is under low-pressure environment while the fuel cell system is performing idle stop control for extracting low current from a fuel cell while supplying an oxidant gas at a low flow rate, and operation limit means which limits operation of oxidant gas supply means for supplying oxidant gas when it is determined that the fuel cell system is under low-pressure environment.
