<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal fitting with which a contact load of an insert to be inserted to an electric contact part can be fixed by making a displacement amount uniform in a plurality of elastic pieces constituting the electric contact part. <P>SOLUTION: Each of terminal fittings 1 and 1' comprises a tubular electric contact part 2 which is formed by making closer and joining both ends of a conductive metal plate each other. In the electric contact part 2, a plurality of slits 20, 21, 22, 23 and 26 are provided which extend in a tube length direction N at intervals in a circumferential direction of the electric contact part 2.
