<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a foreign substance detection sensor to which a coating member is easily attached. <P>SOLUTION: Electrode wires 23 and 24 are connected to terminals 33 and 34 by welding after extrapolating a heat-shrinkable tube 35 into a sensor wire 21 from the end of the longitudinal direction on the side where a power supply connector 31 is provided.
