<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily resume reproduction of a content even when the reproduction of the content has been suspended by a communication error, in a network system. <P>SOLUTION: A TV receiver and a BD player conform to an HDMI; and the TV receiver, the BD player, and a content server conform to a DLNA. The TV receiver receives a content A by using a network interface and reproduces the content A (S1), suspends the reproduction when a communication error occurs during the reproduction (S2), and transmits a CEC command to receive the content A from the content server and transmit the content A, to the BD player (S5). The BD player receives the content A from the content server by an HEC by using an HDMI transmission part (S8) and transmits the received content A to the TV receiver by the HEC by using the HDMI transmission part (S9).
