摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive liquid crystal faster than conventional liquid crystal by an AC driving, and to improve tolerance of variation of the liquid crystal and productivity. <P>SOLUTION: Pixel selection transistors Q1 and Q2 are alternately switched ON. When the pixel transistor Q1 is switched ON, a positive side video signal from a data line 6-1a is held in a holding capacitor C1. When the pixel transistor Q2 is switched ON, a negative side video signal from a data line 6-1b is held in a holding capacitor C2. The positive and negative video signals are written in the holding capacitors C1 and C2 one time per one frame. Liquid crystal can be driven by an AC driving while alternately switching changeover switches S1 and S2 any number of times during one frame period until a video signal of the next frame is written in. Also, voltage of a counter electrode of the liquid crystal can be swung according to polarity reversal, and signal voltage can be reduced to half of conventional voltage or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
