<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take out an output waveform of a pixel drive signal for the display of a test image through a test pad in an image display apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A pixel drive section 4 for horizontal scanning (for source driving) of the image display apparatus is a chip-on-film assembly provided on a film 34 with: a source driver IC chip 31 for outputting each pixel drive signal; an output line 32 for supplying each pixel drive signal, output from the source driver IC chip 31, to the corresponding pixel of a display; and a test pad 33. The test pads 33-1, 33-2, 33-3, and 33-4 are provided on the output lines 32-1, 32-4, 32-681, and 32-684. The output lines 32-1 to 32-3 are not connected to the pixels of the display while the output lines 32-4 to 32-684 are connected to each pixel of the first to six hundred eighty-first pixel lines of the display.
