<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and effectively suppress preignition despite response delay of control for decreasing an effective compression ratio. <P>SOLUTION: A method of controlling a spark-ignition engine includes: a step of decreasing the effective compression ratio by a predetermined amount by using a variable mechanism (15) when the preignition is detected on the basis of a detection value of a detection means (34); and a step of temporarily enriching an in-cylinder air/fuel ratio based on injection fuel from an injector 18, in a transition period until the completion of the decrease of the effective compression ratio. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
