<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device capable of suppressing burning by a spreading fire in an electrode group direct insertion battery pack to enhance the productivity. <P>SOLUTION: A power supply device has: a compact 2 incorporating an electrode group 8 and an electrolytic solution 103; a hole sealing plate sheet 201; and an explosion-proof valve sheet 202. By separating the explosion-proof valve sheet 202 having explosion-proof valves 23 and the hole sealing plate sheet 201 having insulation gaskets 19 from each other, a high-temperature and high-pressure combustion gas does not contact to the insulation gaskets 19 even when one explosion-proof valve 23 is actuated, and thereby, burning by a spreading fire can be suppressed.
