Disclosed in the present invention are a duplex printer, a control method therefor and a device thereof. The control method of the duplex printer comprises that: controlling the first print head(11) to print the first print data on the first surface of a print medium(P) when the print medium(P) is located in a first position; controlling the second print head(21) to print the second print data on the second surface of the print medium after the print medium(P) has gone forward a first distance(d1), wherein, the first distance(d1) is equal to the distance between the printing position of the first print head(11) and the printing position of the second print head(21); controlling a cutting device(3) to cut the print medium(P) in the cutting position of a printing transfer passage after printing has been completed; and controlling the transfer mechanism(42) for the print medium so as to drive the print medium(P) to fall back a second predetermined distance(d2).
