<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release constrained flicker countermeasure control quickly by detecting disappearance of flicker accurately. <P>SOLUTION: In a camera performing live view display, an imaging element is exposed by setting the integration time Tint of a shift value 502 different from a multiple of the flicker period Tf when the flicker is detected, and a predetermined flicker component is left intentionally within a range capable of correction processing so that disappearance of flicker can be detected by the presence of the flicker component. When the flicker is detected, imaging conditions for flicker countermeasure are set and deterioration of image quality due to flicker is prevented by image processing, e.g. synthesis of a plurality of continuous frames. When the flicker is not detected, the flicker countermeasure is inhibited and video display is performed by setting the quality priority imaging conditions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
