<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination system capable of performing dimming control of a light source even when a communication failure occurs. <P>SOLUTION: An illumination system comprises: an illumination apparatus 3 having a light source 31, a lighting circuit 32, and a dimming control part 33; a sensor 2 having a detection part 21; a master apparatus 1 having a first dimming signal generation part 111 generating a first dimming signal based on a detection result of the detection part 21; communication failure detection parts 12 and 331 detecting a communication failure in a series of communication paths in which the detection result is transmitted from the sensor 2 toward the master apparatus 1, and the first dimming signal is transmitted from the master apparatus 1 toward the illumination apparatus 3; and second dimming signal generation parts 4a and 4b generating second dimming signals when the communication failure detection parts 12 and 331 detect the communication failure in the communication paths. The dimming control part 33 performs dimming control of the light source 31 based on the second dimming signals, when the communication failure occurs on the upstream side from the second dimming signal generation parts 4a and 4b in the communication paths. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
