<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device that can be reduced in size and cost because of unnecessity of installation of a plurality of sensors, and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A developing device of the present invention includes: a storage part (tank 400Y for density adjustment) that stores liquid developer containing toner and a carrier; and an electrostatic capacity detection part that includes a first electrode (external electrode 411Y) provided inside the storage part and having a hollow part, and a second electrode (liquid developer stirring shaft/internal electrode 403Y) provided in the hollow part of the first electrode (external electrode 411Y) and faces the first electrode (external electrode 411Y) with the liquid developer therebetween, and detects electrostatic capacity between the first electrode (external electrode 411Y) and the second electrode (liquid developer stirring shaft/internal electrode 403Y). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
