<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an individual counting device that can count even fine individuals such as larvae of shrimps with high precision, has a small risk of weakening and extinction and a simple structure, and can be made compact. <P>SOLUTION: The individual counting device includes inclined flow passages 10A, 10B which are inclined in a predetermined direction and in which individuals to be counted flow together with fluid. An aggregate of the individuals to be counted is thrown in there. The thrown-in individuals are dispersed while conveyed in the inclined flow passages 10A, 10B, and counted by a measurement part 18B provided halfway in the inclined flow passage 10B through photography by a camera and analysis of a photographed image by an image analysis part. Bow-shaped liquid reservoirs 14A and 14B which have bottom surfaces inclined upward toward downstream sides while gradually increasing in inclination angle from both sides to the centers are provided downstream from an individual throw-in part 12A of the inclined flow passage 10A and upstream from the measurement part 18B in the inclined flow passage 10B respectively, so the dispersion of the individuals is accelerated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
