ORGANIC HYDRIDE DETECTION COMPONENT AND METHOD FOR DETECTING PRESENCE OF ORGANIC HYDRIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single detection component capable of optically detecting organic hydride and hydrogen, which produces sufficiently practical color change reaction at a temperature for heating the component below the spontaneous combustion temperature of organic hydride, and a method for detecting the presence of organic hydride using the detection component.

SOLUTION: A component having a structure with platinum fine particles carried on the particle surface of crystalline tungsten trioxide powder is heated at a temperature in a range of 100 to 200°C for the detection of organic hydride.
