An echo erasing device is provided with a signal-to-echo ratio calculation unit (103) which calculates a signal-to-echo ratio SE (n) representing the abundance ratio of an echo component for a received talk signal x(n) on the basis of a first residual coding obtained by using a filter coefficient sequence of an update filter (102) that has been obtained by the previous operations and a second residual coding obtained by using an update filter coefficient sequence resulting from a coefficient update using an arbitrary update step size µ (n) for the filter coefficient sequence of the update filter (102) that has been obtained by the previous operations, and a residual echo suppression unit (105) which suppresses the echo component included in a microphone input signal on the basis of the signal-to-echo ratio calculated by the signal-to-echo ratio calculation unit (103).
