HOME LOCATION REGISTER RESETTING PROCESSING METHOD AND SYSTEM

A home location register (HLR) resetting processing method and system, applied in a call receding system. The HLR resetting processing method includes: after receiving a resetting notification message from an HLR, a visitor location register (VLR) sending a notification message to a mobile management entity (MME). The technical solution of the present invention notifies the MME as to where the user equipment (UE) of the resetting is located after the HLR resets, which enables the MME to reinitiate location update in time and register the UE on the HLR. As such, the HLR obtains the corresponding VLR number, and then is able to correctly perform call routing when the subscriber is the called party.
