<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a gas passage from being blocked by an intruding sealant. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell includes a MEGA 20, a porous gas passage 22 and separators 24, 26. A sealant 30 is formed around the MEGA 20, and a second porous gas passage 28 for leading a reactant gas is formed thereon.
