OPTICAL TRANSMISSION LINE CONNECTION SYSTEM AND OPTICAL TRANSMISSION LINE CONNECTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently connect optical transmission lines to each other without using a connector.

SOLUTION: An optical transmission line connection system 1 includes: a light source unit 2 which outputs laser light; a pump light generation unit 5 on which the laser light outputted from the light source unit 2 impinges as pump light via one end 3a of one optical transmission line 3A from one end 3b of the other optical transmission line 3B; a measuring unit 6 which observes a nonlinear scattered component included in reflected light from in the other optical transmission line 3B; and a control unit 7 which evaluates a spectrum of the nonlinear scattered component observed by the measuring unit 6 and controls positions of optical axes of one end 3a of one optical transmission line 3A and one end 3b of the other optical transmission line 3B.
