<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a natural language of objective assessment of relative color quality between a reference image and a source image. <P>SOLUTION: A color converter 110 receives a difference measurement between the reference image and the source image and determines a color attribute change on the basis of the difference measurement. The color attributes include hue shift, saturation changes, and color variation, for instance. A magnitude index facility 120 determines a magnitude of the determined color attribute change. A natural language selector 130 maps the color attribute change and the magnitude of the change to a natural language and generates a report of the color attribute change and the magnitude of the change.
