<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back door molding capable of easily draining the rain water, which intruded between a door panel and the back door molding, and capable of preventing the intrusion of a large quantity of water between the door panel and the back door molding so as to prevent a peripheral part thereof from being soiled even if the high-pressure water is spread when washing the back door, in regard to a back door molding to be provided along a lower part of a back door window fitted to a back door of a vehicle, and to provide a method of efficiently manufacturing the back door molding. <P>SOLUTION: The back door molding 5 to be fitted along a lower part of the back door window 3 provided in the back door 2 of a vehicle includes a resin protector 12 provided along the longitudinal direction of a lower surface part of a long-size molding body 11, which is formed into a nearly C-shape in cross section with an inner space 5a, so as to abut on the back door 2.
