<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user with a guide to a rest place set in accordance with human moving ability together with a recommended route. <P>SOLUTION: A cellular phone receives settings of user information indicating characteristics of a user, a starting point, and a destination from the user. A route search server searches for a recommended route from the starting point to the destination received by the cellular phone using footpath network data. The route search server, on the basis of the user information, determines acceptable cost data representing moving ability of the user and determines points which divide the recommended route into a plurality of sections in accordance with the acceptable cost data. The route search server determines a rest place around the points.
