<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage container which eliminates warping of the storage container, and enables inspection etc. as a device is stored in the storage container, and to provide a storage container holding method. <P>SOLUTION: The storage container 100 includes a housing 10, and a shape deformation means 20, wherein the shape deformation means 20 has a magnetic body 21 provided for resin 12 that forms the housing 10, and the shape of the storage container 100 is deformed by a magnetic force that acts on the magnetic body 21. The storage container 100 enables a power to be applied to the storage container 100 by the action of the magnetic force on the magnetic body 21.
