Disclosed is a method for triggering a response of a terminal, comprising: upon receiving a trigger message sent by a network side, a terminal sending an access request message to the network side, the access request message comprising a trigger identifier. Also disclosed are a system for triggering a response of a terminal, a terminal, and a network side for implementing the method for triggering a response of a terminal. In the present invention, when a network side receives an access request message sent by a terminal, since the access request message carries a trigger identifier, the network side can determine, according to the trigger identifier carried in the access request message, to which trigger message the access request message responds, therefore deletes the trigger message stored by itself after the terminal is connected to the server, and no longer needs to resend the trigger for the terminal, which greatly saves the processing resources and storage space on the network side. Particularly, the present invention is more applicable to management of a large number of MTC terminals. |
