The group has body parts (10a, 11a) partially forming a shell structure of a motor car. Connectors (12a) partially consist of up-foamable plastic (13a), which is foamed for connecting the body parts. The body parts are provided with flange regions (14a), and the connectors are partially arranged in the flange regions, where the body parts are firmly interconnected with an adhesive bond. The connectors have base bodies (15a), and the up-foamable plastic is applied on the base bodies, where the connectors have fixing elements (16a). The body parts are designed as thin sheet metals. One of the body parts is formed as an outer longitudinal beam element, and another body part is designed as a structural stiffening element. The fixing elements are formed as locking elements. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a shell construction group.
