The headcollar has a nose belt (10) centrally disconnected in the region of the horse jaw such that left and right ends of the nose belt are connected over left and right grasp halves (1, 2) with left and right throat belt parts (11, 12), respectively. The grasp halves are interlaced with one another and removable from one another. The grasp halves connected to each other in a positive fit manner, so that the grasp halves are not movable in any direction in an interlaced condition. The nose belt, the grasp halves and a neck belt (13) are reinforced by inserted plastic strips.
