[Class 46] [Also in Group XIII] In filter-presses built up of juxtaposed plate elements, or plate and frame elements, all or some of which are formed with apertured slotted lugs 2 engaging supporting bars 3, the slots 4 in the lugs are of smaller cross section than the diameter of the bar, which is reduced in cross section at points, as that the lugs are removable by sliding them off the bar after swinging the element through an angle from its normal position. The bar has two opposite flat portions 5 spaced a distance less than the width of the slot; or the bar is non-circular, e.g., elliptical. The bar may have longitudinal grooves 15 engaged by projections 18 in the lugs 2, which may be removed at an annular groove 16 in the bar. The elements have at their bases slotted lugs 8 resting on a bar 9. The parts removed from the bar to give portions of reduced diameter may be detachably screwed thereto when the elements are in place. |
