The coating device (1) has a conveyance device, a coating roller (3) and two coating stamps (4). The coating roller or the coating stamps is or are delivered to a workpiece (8) by support of pneumatic cylinders (6). The coating roller and the coating stamps have a spraying device (5) in each case. Spraying processes of the coating roller and of the coating stamps are pneumatically controlled in each case. An independent claim is included for a method for coating of an edge area of small sides of workpieces with wood processing agent and, particularly with coating agents.
