PURPOSE: An electrode active material is provided to improve high-temperature stability, high-temperature life time and high rate performance of lithium battery by surface-treating a core which can absorb and emit lithium by lithium-non-containing oxide with spinel structure. CONSTITUTION: An electrode active material comprises: a core capable of absorbing and emitting lithium; a surface treatment layer formed on at least a part of the core. The surface treatment layer comprises lithium-non-containing oxide with a spinel structure. A manufacturing method of the electrode active material comprises a step of preparing an outcome by contacting a core, which comprises a positive electrode active material or negative electrode active material, and the lithium-non-containing oxide with a spinel structure or precursor thereof; and a step of selectively sintering the outcome. |
