Measuring device for a telescopic arm

The device has a measuring unit for measuring telescoping length of a telescopic arm. A calculation unit (4) calculates movements of a movable portion (2) of the arm using hydraulic characteristics of a hydraulic telescoping actuator (3). An adjusting unit adjusts the calculated movements by a signal transmitted by identification units used for contactless identification of a position of the movable portion of the arm. The movable portion of the arm is provided with spaced-apart markers (6) that are identified when the markers are passed in front of a contactless magnetic sensor (5).
