PURPOSE: A cylindrical alkaline battery is provided to prevent reverse charge due to reverse insertion and to restrain leakage of electrolyte and negative electrode gel in negative electrode active material to outside and to discharge negative electrode gel, electrolyte, gas, etc to outside through an outlet when the internal pressure is increased. CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical alkaline battery comprises: a battery outer can(100) to cylindrically surround a positive electrode active material(10), a negative electrode active material(20), a separator(30), electrolyte and current-collecting rod(40) to seal the same; a positive electrode terminal plate(200) formed on one side of the battery outer can of the cylindrical battery; a negative electrode terminal plate(300) connected to the other side of the battery outer can while insulated and connected to the current-collecting rod in one side of a core part; a gasket(400) formed to seal the positive electrode active material, negative electrode active material and electrolyte form inside the negative electrode terminal plate of the battery outer can.
