<p>The method involves determining tooth flank geometries (12b, 13b), transition section geometry and total tooth flank geometry, where the tooth flank geometries correspond to geometry of tooth flanks, and the transition section geometry corresponds to a transition section between the tooth flanks. Control data is produced based on the total tooth flank geometry. The work piece is milled by a milling tool i.e. end milling cutter, based on the produced control data, where the milling tool is controlled successively along processing paths indicated by path data. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for producing control data comprising a geometry modeling unit (2) a numerically controlled, 4-axle machine tool comprising a control data producing device (3) a computer program product comprising a computer program for executing a method for producing control data.</p> |
