A vehicle 201 for transporting agricultural cargo, such as hay bales. The vehicle 201 comprises a platform 203 and a barrier assembly 209 for retaining the cargo on the platform. The barrier assembly 209 comprises a pair of side barriers 211, each side barrier 211 being operable between (i) an open configuration in which the side barrier (11) is held away from the platform 203 and (ii) a closed configuration in which the side barrier 211 is able to retain the cargo. In the closed configuration, the side barrier 211 is moveable in a direction across the width of the platform 203 such that the vehicle is able to secure differing widths of cargo. Also claimed is the vehicle where the side barriers are formed of an open-sided frame structure. Preferably the barriers 11 are pivotably movable about an axis 225 located above the platform. |
