Two successive upshift and two successive downshifts can be executed by control of the five shifting elements. #CMT# : #/CMT# Two successive upshift and two successive downshifts can be executed by control of the five shifting elements in such a manner that a first upshift and downshift is implemented as multiple shift, whereby during the current first upshift and downshift, a single shift or a multiple shift is prepared as following second upshift and downshift. A first shifting element of the automatic transmission is opened during the execution of first upshift and downshift as multiple shifting and thereby switched off as well as a second shifting element of the automatic transmission is closed and thereby switched off. The execution of first upshift and downshift as multiple shift for following second upshift and downshift a third control element of the automatic transmission is provided for opening and thereby switching off as well as a fourth switching element of the automatic transmission is provided for closing and thus switching on.
