The invention relates to a computer-implemented system (100) for displaying athletic event information comprising a video camera (117) for capturing images of the event and placing the images in a video feed (109); a tracking system (108) for providing the positions of selected participants in the event; a computing device (112, 116), coupled to the camera (117), for processing the images from the video feed (109) and the tracking system (108) to provide game information related to the event; a handheld device (128) wirelessly coupled to the computing device (112, 116) for displaying at least some of the game information, and for issuing commands to the computing device; and a scoreboard (130) used at the event, coupled to the computing device (112, 116); wherein the commands issued from the handheld device (128) determines what aspects of the information are displayed on the scoreboard (130). |
