An emergency rope ladder can be attached to a conventional window sill in an emergency. The securing means may be two grapple hooks. The escape ladder may include a window breaker that also functions as a rung of the ladder. The window breaker can be removed from the ladder. The rungs of the ladder may be secured in place by tie knots in the ropes. The rungs may be formed of steel or aluminium. |
