PURPOSE: A method for sorting blastoderm epithelial stem cells using Oct4-GFP system is provided to understand initial embryogenesis, differentiation and reproductive cell development. CONSTITUTION: A method for sorting epiblast using an Oct4-GFP system comprises a step of classifying blastoderm epithelial stem cells(EpiSC) by FACS after implantation. The EpiSC contributes to a chimera after Oct4-GFP-positive implantation. The EpiSC after Oct4-GFP-positive implantation corresponds to initial epiblast. The EpiSC after Oct4-GFP-negative implantation corresponds to post epiblast. A composition for isolating EpiSC contains Oct4-GFP marker as an active ingredient.
