PURPOSE: A coupling device for partial discharge analysis is provided to accurately determine the insulation degradation of generator stator windings. CONSTITUTION: A connector(110) electrically connects a first coupling capacitor(120) with a second coupling capacitor(130). A first conductive rod(125) electrically connects the first coupling capacitor with high voltage input. A second conductive rod(135) electrically connects the second coupling capacitor with a ground(150). A current converter(160) surrounds a part of the second conductive rod and generates a pulse signal. A reference signal generator(164) is adjacent to the current converter and generates a reference signal as the same phase as the pulse signal's.
