<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce externally input continuous images without omission, in an image display device having a see-through type head-mount display (HMD) by which a viewer can observe a scene of the outside world superposed on a display image according to an image signal. <P>SOLUTION: When a determination unit 118 starts determination to determine that relative movement of the scene of the outside world to a viewer exists (hereinafter referred to as "movement determination"), ordinary reproduction to reproduce an input image, represented by an image signal that is input to an image signal input circuit 100 and output therefrom, is automatically suspended. In parallel thereto, an input image output from the input circuit 100 is automatically recorded.
