<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tamper-resistant cam device 2 used for operating a safety interlock switch selectively. <P>SOLUTION: The cam device 2 includes a cam 12 which can rotate selectively between two positions in order to operate a switch 6. The cam 12 has lock mechanisms 20, 22, 32a, 32b for locking the cam 12 at one of two positions. The lock mechanisms 20, 22, 32a, 32b consist of individual mechanical locks 20, 22, 32a, 32b provided on both sides of the cam 12.
