<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet head and a liquid jet apparatus in which a piezoelectric element is driven efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid jet head includes a pressure generation element 300 having a first electrode 60 provided on one side of a channel formation substrate 10 correspondingly to a pressure generation chamber 12, a piezoelectric layer 70 provided on the first electrode, and a second electrode 80 provided on the piezoelectric layer; a lead electrode 90 provided individually for each pressure generation element 300 and connected electrically to the first electrode 60; and a conductive layer 81 provided in partial contact with the first electrode 60 in a region where the second electrode 80 is not formed, the piezoelectric layer 70 is exposed, and further the first electrode 60 is exposed partially.
