<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation pile that can increase perpendicular support force and horizontal reaction force even in the soft ground and achieves construction with small area, in a short construction period, and at low cost while decreasing the number of piles, a pile diameter, and a pile length. and its construction method. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the foundation pipe comprising a cylindrical body 1 which is buried in the ground except its head part, and a hat-shaped member 2 which has an opening where the cylindrical body 1 is inserted and is buried nearby the ground surface. Specifically, the hat-shaped member 2 includes an outer wall surface 21 which has an opening at its center part, and is substantially parallel with an outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical body 1, an inclined wall surface 22 which extends from an upper part of the outer wall surface 21 toward the opening, and a collar part 23 which is projected upward from an upper part of the inclined wall surface 22 toward along the opening, and has an inner diameter a little larger than the external diameter of the cylindrical body 1.
