<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation membrane module capable of measuring stably with the help of a sensor. <P>SOLUTION: This separation membrane module includes a cylindrical pressure vessel, a plurality of membrane elements loaded inside the pressure vessel in the way that the membrane elements can be juxtaposed in the axial direction of the pressure vessel, and a joining member 5A for joining the adjacent membrane elements. The membrane element includes a center pipe and a pair of end members 3A and 3B fastened to both end parts of the center pipe. In addition, the joining member 5A is so constituted that it can be engaged with at least either one of the end members 3A and 3B positioned on both sides of the joining member 5A.
