<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable vacuum cleaner capable of accurately distinguishing and detecting a motor spark caused by abnormality of an electric fan itself and a transient motor spark caused by the air flow decline of suction air of the electric fan. <P>SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes: the electric fan for generating the suction air; a current state detection means for detecting the state of an AC current flowing to the electric fan; and a control means for controlling the energizing amount of the electric fan according to the output value of the current state detection means. When the number of times of the output value of the current state detection means being smaller than a predetermined first reference value is present for the first reference number of times or more within the prescribed time, the control means lowers the energizing amount to the electric fan, and thereafter controls the energizing amount to the electric fan according to the output value of the current state detection means immediately before the time when the output value of the current state detection means first becomes smaller than the first reference value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
