<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device easily adapting a side strand of a non-skid chain to a different tire size and quickly loosening the chain similarly. <P>SOLUTION: An adjustment element supports flat slide parts 3 to be extended slidably inside a housing. The front end of the slide parts is exposed through a front opening 4 of the housing to the outside, and an exposed part is provided with first slide parts 5 for a side strand 6'. A manually operable lock 8 is disposed inside the housing, and is made engageable with the slide parts 3 at least one engaging position 9. The slide parts have an end stopper 14, and the end stopper blocks the slide parts from completely jumping out from the housing.
