A method for locating the insertion site of the first trocar in laparoscopic cholecystectomy in the patients with obesity provides for the standard intervention. The method is applicable to the patients with body mass index exceeding 30. Ultrasonography is performed preoperatively for locating the point of the projection of the neck of gall bladder on to the abdominal wall.
