<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve highly accurate measurement even in the case of measuring the travel of a traveling object which makes a motion just like repeating travel and stop. <P>SOLUTION: The travel measurement device includes: means for inputting an image of an object to be measured; means for acquiring the template of the object to be measured; means for storing the acquired template; means for calculating the travel of the object to be measured from the image of the object to be measured and the stored template; and means for determining whether or not the object to be measured stops.
